Long Nights Ago

Once this night or day
I will find a new beginning
One that strays far away
Onto new lights and silver days
One lets me drift into the abyss
One that has omnipotence

This day will rear to its end
But I will know then
That it was indeed fate
Though sufferance and debate

For long nights ago I wished this to end
For a new beginning is up ahead
I no longer weep or cry
For I know I have already…
