He·met·er·a : our own _(Greek)

In 1946, a group of students at Regis College started Hemetera literary magazine as a way to encourage creative expression, no matter the form it took—poetry, prose, visual artwork, creative nonfiction, or more. Now in it’s 80th year, Hemetera continues to publish the work of its students, faculty, and alumni. Editions are curated year, organized and put to production by students enrolled in EN 202: Publishing Hemetera. They work under the guidance of a faculty advisor. As we move into this year’s launch of Hemetera, we are thrilled to be announcing a new range of Creative Writing Workshops, Open Mic events and readings, and the continued partnership of Hemetera with the First Year Writing Program. Each year, first year writers are invited to share their prize winning essay with Hemetera, integrate their voice and style opening up the possibility that our literary journal can become a home for connections, insights, and expressions from an array of experience and creative means.
