Submission Guidelines
We are now accepting submissions for our 2025-2026 edition of Hemetera:
This year’s theme has to do with the “speaking back”–addressing social, political, economical, etc., issues happening in the world and thinking about all the ways that we can respond to that through our voices, writing, and our creative participation.
At Hemetera, we believe every story is unique, meaningful, and worth telling. What you’ve been through, what you experience, what you fear, value, love–what you imagine for yourself, for others, for your local and global communities–Hemetera aims offer you a place for sharing and connecting with others.
Whether through art, fiction, poetry, or creative non-fiction, we invite you to share your story and to share your work with Hemetera.
Submissions due: April 3, 2026.
